I immediately clicked with Lesley when we first met at The Scottish Wedding Show and I was extremely flattered that she would trust me to capture her wedding day – she is an award winning photographer. What made it even more special was that I would have the opportunity to return to Drumtochty Castle which is where I had got married a few years ago. It really is a magical place and the team at Drumtochty really look after their guests.

What a fantastic week. Yesterday I was photographing the wedding of Michelle & Beau at Glenapp Castle – one of the most romantic castles in Scotland and definitely my favourite venue to photograph at. What an incredible couple – sometimes you feel a real connection with the people you are photographing and I really felt that today.
Everything about this wedding reminded me of why I love my job. I genuinely feel very fortunate to be able to do something that I feel so passionate about and I get to share one of the happiest days in a couple’s life. Michelle & Beau live in California and had travelled to Scotland with their closest family and friends.
They have the most adorable son, Mallen and he played a central role in proceeding – he carried the rings and looked very dapper in his tux!.
I just loved Michelle’s shoes….well in fact I loved her whole outfit

The weather was kind and Michelle and Beau got their wish, which was to hold their ceremony outside under an arch of flowers. All the flowers were supplied by Sam Murdoch and his arrangements were simply beautiful.

After the wedding meal, everyone went back outside to watch a brilliant firework display.

Then it was back inside for a very romantic first dance followed by some serious partying – especially by Beau!. I don’t think he left the dancefloor all night!

Thank you for choosing me to capture your special day – it was a highlight of my year as you epitomised for me what weddings should be all about – love, happiness and laughter. Your images will be ready soon to view – I hope you enjoy re-living your day when you look through them.
I woke to the most beautiful day – perfect for the wedding of Sarah & Jim. I met with Jim and his bestman in front of Cameron House for a couple of photos and then some photos with Jim’s two daughters who were bridesmaids.

I then headed upstairs to photograph Sarah getting ready with her maid of honour and her parents.

Sarah looked so elegant and beautiful in her dress and veil.

The ceremony took place at Cameron House followed by champagne for the guests outside.

It makes such a difference to be able to make the most of the stunning setting of Loch Lomond, so I took the Bridal Party off for some photographs by the Loch.

We were once again so lucky with the weather – and what a setting. I popped upstairs to catch the girls getting ready and I couldn’t wait to see Linsey’s dress and veil – We had discussed them at the pre wedding meeting (after sending Matt off for a walk!) and they surpassed my expectations. They looked even more beautiful on Linsey – she looked truly stunning. The ceremony took place in the round room, which was flooded with natural light and then it was outside to the gardens in front of the castle for some champagne and canapés. I took the opportunity to utilise the stunning backdrops the castle offers before everyone headed in for the meal. The speeches were hilarious and kept everyone entertained. Soon it was time for the first dance and then I asked Linsey & Matt if they would like to try some photographs outside as it was a clear summer’s evening.
Thank you for choosing me to photograph your special day – I hope you are having a great honeymoon and I am looking forward to sharing the rest of the photographs with you very soon.

Watching mummy getting ready
I had the privilege of photographing Kerri and Gary’s wedding day at the Golden Lion Hotel and Stirling Castle. I met with the girls in the morning as they got ready and as you can see Kerri and Gary’s daughter Millie was just fascinated watching Mummy get ready.

Beautiful shoes!
Kerri had put a lot of effort into the details – the elegant Benjamin Adams shoes and the diamante hairclasp just complimented her outfit perfectly – she looked so beautiful.

It's all in the detail
When we arrived at the Golden Lion Hotel for the ceremony, there was quite a crowd gathered on the street to catch a glimpse of the stunning bride arriving.

After the ceremony we headed up to Stirling Castle to make the most of the historic setting for some photographs.

What a fantastic day everyone had – thank you to both of you for choosing me to photograph your special day. Hope you are having a fantastic honeymoon in Vegas and I can’t wait to show you the rest of your photographs when you return.
