Claire & John, Hamilton, Wedding Photography Scotland

Some weddings more than others really need the weather to be kind and Claire and John’s wedding, at the end of August,  incorporated so many elements that were weather dependant. From the romantic horse & carriage (open carriage!) to the outside ceremony at Hamilton Park Racecourse, followed by a hog roast.  Fortunately, despite the threat of rain all day, it stayed dry and Claire and John got to have their wedding their way.

Here is just a small selection of photographs from their day.

Kathryn & Derek, A Sneak Peek, Wedding Photography Scotland

For those of you who would like to see a few photographs from Kathryn & Derek’s beautiful, elegant wedding at Loch Lomond here are just a few photographs to whet your appetite.

The weather was just fantastic and I fell in love with Kathryn’s Suzanne Neville dress & her stunning shoes. I love vintage cars and Kathryn travelled in style both to (in her dad’s Triumph Stag) and back from the church (in an Aston Martin).

More photographs will be posted when I get an opportunity to blog them properly next week.

Last week I met up with Fiona and Mark for their pre wedding meeting and shoot. We headed out to Troon Harbour for a few photographs and then made the most of a blustery autumn evening on the beach.

Here are a few photographs from the shoot.

Michelle & Barry, Glenapp Castle, Wedding Photography Scotland

Michelle and Barry live in Brisbane, a city I used to live in and I have very fond memories of, and had decided that whilst travelling in Europe they would get married in a Scottish Castle.  Married in secret, only telling two of their closest friends who travelled with them for part of their trip around Europe. They chose the stunning Glenapp Castle, one of my favourite venues in Scotland for so many reasons – stunning setting, beautiful grounds, sumptuous interiors, award winning food and great staff – nothing is too much trouble and whether it is a small intimate wedding,  as this was,  or a larger wedding they ensure that all the details are just right.

Michelle’s silk dress was designed by Barry and was set off with a stunning lace jacket. In anticipation of the possibility of cooler weather than they are used to, Michelle also wore a wrap fastened by a celtic brooch. Barry opted to wear  a kilt as did his best man.

Even though I only met Michelle and Barry on two occasions it feels like we have been friends for years and my abiding memory of their day is of lots of laughter.

I hope this small selection of your photographs brings back many happy memories for you both and I look forward to sharing the rest with you soon.
