Although I specialise in Wedding and Portrait photography, when I get the opportunity to combine another great passion of mine – horses – with photography, I jump at it.
So let me show you what we got up to with “The Black Mare” – she is called Dikota, is 3 years old and is simply stunning.
This is third session with Jennifer and she is over a year old now. And if you have seen the other sessions I shot with her you will see how much she has changed.
Part of the planning that goes into a baby session is to allow them enough time to relax and enjoy the interaction. Jennifer was fantastic and her personality is really starting to shine through. At one stage I suggested we put on some music for her to dance too and she loved that – even going over to the stereo to adjust the volume!!
Ruth and Gavin – I hope you enjoy looking at the photographs of your gorgeous daughter.
Please feel free to leave a comment for Ruth and Gavin.
“I am sure this fits on here? “
“I’ve got this great storybook….”
“It’s very funny…”
This reminded me of one of my favourite songs by Texas – with the line “She has a Halo, we really do adore her”
“Just going to call my friends”
Caught with the make up!
One of the aspects I love about this job is getting to know really great people from all over the UK and the world. Karen and Matt are planning their wedding at Glenapp Castle – one of my favourite venues for so many reasons - and managed to plan a trip to Scotland from their home in Cheshire to organise and confirm some of the details for their wedding in April.
We met over coffee (great coffee and a great view over the harbour) and discussed all the details of their day. We even sent Matt off for a walk so the girls could talk dress and shoes – needless to say I cannot wait to see Karen in her dress!!.
We then headed out to take some pre wedding photographs, which is about helping the couple relax and realise how much fun the photography aspect can be. One of the most common “concerns” I hear from couples is that they hate having their photographs taken or that they are not photogenic. A big aspect of my job is to help allay any fears and show the couple how much fun it can be and therefore how good they will look because they are relaxed and having fun.
So here is a small selection from Karen and Matt’s pre wedding shoot. Looking forward to their wedding.
Sometimes you meet two people who are so right for each other, that glow in each others company that it makes you smile just to see them together – well Emma and David are such a couple.
Add to that, that they are planning an elegant wedding at Hotel du Vin at One Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow and their attention to detail and passion for photography matches mine – well to say I am looking forward to their wedding day is an understatement.
I am loving getting to know them both – and ~ I know it may sound corny – but we just “clicked” when we first met and I knew right away that I really wanted to capture their journey.
Here are a few from a Pre Wedding shoot we did a few weeks ago
Last week I met up with Fiona and Mark for their pre wedding meeting and shoot. We headed out to Troon Harbour for a few photographs and then made the most of a blustery autumn evening on the beach.
Here are a few photographs from the shoot.
Really looking forward to your wedding day.
Kathryn & Derek have travelled and worked abroad and their wedding planning has been meticulous as they have had to do it whilst the bride is still working and living in Pakistan whilst the groom is based in Hampshire!
We met recently to go through the details of their wedding day and to take a few photographs to let them experience how relaxed it can be. I am so looking forward to their wedding day which is taking place at Kilmaronock Church at Gartocharn and then onto a marquee by the shores of Loch Lomond. There are so many personal touches (for example the bride hopes to be driven to church in her dad’s vintage Triumph Stag convertible which he has renovated himself) and the dress and shoes sound stunning!
Here are a few photographs from their pre wedding shoot.
A fantastic fun couple, sunshine, great coffee and Troon beach – the best possible ingredients for a pre wedding shoot. These “shoots” are an opportunity for us to go over all the details for their forthcoming wedding and to spend some time taking photographs to let the couple get a feel for how I work and to hopefully capture some beautiful, relaxed photographs of the two of them.
Really looking forward to their wedding day in a few weeks time as I know there will be lots of laughter and fun.
